Spring pictures in Unalakleet

Still snowy and icy here in Unalakleet. We have been able to spend more time outside despite the continued snow due to the increase in daylight. We get about 15 hours of sunlight now.

The other day we took a walk around village and snapped some nice spring pictures to share with all of you.

Fog and frost covered the cemetery.

Then a walk to the ocean. Still frozen solid as far as the eye can see. That is Besburo island 10 miles in the distance.

Patches of melting water on top of the ice.

Then a ride on the only road out of town to see it we could make it out to the bridge yet....Nope. This part of the road was plowed but the next one was not. We had to turn around about half way there. Here is to hoping the ice melts sometime this month.
